Background
Mrs. Jolynn Ruggerio was born and raised in the Antiochian Church in downstate Illinois. She has resided in Deerfield and Glenview since 1982 She is a retired registered nurse by profession and specialized mainly in intensive care nursing. She has dedicated nearly 50 years to religious education and youth ministry in various capacities in both the Antiochian and Greek Archdioceses.
She served on the Religious Education Commission for the Greek Metropolis for nine years producing numerous Orthodox religious education seminars. Together with her husband, Raymond, they have four adult children, Pani Marianna, Anthony, Maggie, and Sam, along with two grandsons. Jolynn has been active in various Pan-Orthodox Orthodox organizations, having served as president of Orthodox Christian Synergy, organizing and producing theological Symposia, Orthodox Christians for Life and having been member of the Pan-Orthodox Choir of Greater Chicago. Ray and Jolynn are active members of St. Haralambos in Niles.
